How can we reconnect with the wonder of everyday life?
Can myth and poetry engage in dialogue with science?
Can work become a source of meaning and connection?
Is it possible to reimagine our neighbourhoods, food, and economy—as acts of care?
And ultimately, what does it mean to “re-enchant the world”?

The 3rd New Eleusis Symposion returns to the land of the celebrated Mysteries—where, for over 1,500 years, the ideas of inner transformation and initiatory knowledge were cultivated—for three days of reflection, inspired dialogue, and visionary action. From 25 to 27 September 2025, the World Human Forum welcomes pioneering speakers of diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and corners of the world to the Old Oil Mill Factory of Eleusis, creating a space for a contemporary narrative of unity and personal and social transformation.

With the theme “Re-Enchanting the World”, this year’s symposion focuses on how we can restore our relationship with life, nature, others, and ourselves, paving the way towards a new eco-civilisation. It is a call to action, urging a transformation of our daily experiences—from an anthropocentric worldview to a planetary consciousness—through choices that nourish rather than deplete, connect rather than isolate, and honour rather than exploit.

The symposion is organised by the World Human Forum, with the support of the Region of Attica and 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, and in collaboration with the Municipality of Eleusis and the Ephorate of Antiquities of West Attica

The working language of the symposion is English. Simultaneous interpretation into Greek will be available.

An Initiative with Roots and Vision

The New Eleusis Symposia offer a unique platform to explore and redefine the intersection between ancient wisdom and the modern quest for meaning. Through interdisciplinary approaches, they bring together science, art, archaeology, spirituality, and social innovation. Over the course of three days, the public is invited to engage in a vibrant narrative of reconnection through experiential workshops, artistic performances, and live discussions.

Step Into the Story of Your Life

Imagine experiencing your life as a powerful film where you are both the star and the co-director. At this retreat, we’ll draw inspiration from Greek philosophy, mythology, and modern psychology to help you see your challenges as plot twists and your victories as shining climaxes. Instead of being swept along by circumstances, you’ll begin to recognize the deeper meaning behind your personal narrative — and rediscover the joy of living with intention.

Magnetize Love, Abundance, and Joy
Through guided meditations, embodied practices, and interactive workshops, you’ll learn how to shift old fears and patterns into confidence and flow. Using my AGIO Method — rooted in Stoicism, neuroscience, and Greek wisdom — we’ll practice simple yet profound tools that allow you to attract the relationships, opportunities, and experiences that align with your highest self. This is not just a retreat; it’s a reset that allows you to leave behind old scripts and step into the role you were born to play.

A Transformational Community Experience
Surrounded by the beauty of the Athens Riviera, you’ll share this journey with like-minded seekers who, like you, want to live with more joy, ease, and meaning. Together, we’ll dance, laugh, reflect, and celebrate life as a sacred story unfolding. You’ll leave not only with clarity and renewed energy, but also with the support of a new community and practical practices you can carry into your everyday life — long after the retreat has ended.

House of Shila presents RENDEZ-VOUS!, a one-night-only pop-up exhibition at Mona by acclaimed French photographer Sonia Sieff.

Sonia Sieff’s early work (Les Françaises, 2017) was defined by her exploration of femininity through her muses. Her most recent collection (Rendez-vous!, Rizzoli, 2024) turns her lens to the male form, creating a striking counterpoint.

On September 20, these two perspectives meet for the very first time at Mona, offering a rare dialogue between her representations of men and women—an interplay of intimacy, playfulness, and Sieff’s masterful use of light.

Join us for this special evening in the presence of the artist, accompanied by Trinity natural wines and the warm vinyl soundscape of Leonidas Danezos.

The Greek Language Academy

All about Alexandros Boukouvalas: the Greek teacher who supports expats in Greece!

Alexandros Boukouvalas, a teacher from Larissa (Greece), is the founder of TheGreek Language Academy: one of the largest online communities for Greek learners, boasting over 100,000 followers across social platforms (@greek.language.academy). With a clear mission to share a global passion for the Greek language, this dynamic teacher is capturing hearts and headlines around the world.

ABOUT ALEX

Let’s rewind to where it all started. A decade ago, Alexandros set out to share his language, culture, and lifestyle with the world. Driven by the belief that learning new languages and embracing diverse cultures enriches lives, he began introducing English speakers to the wonders of Greece and the Greek language. In 2022, he launched the Greek Language Academy, offering students worldwide the chance to learn Greek through engaging, informal lessons shared on social media. Just a year later, in 2023, he debuted his first online course: an immediate and overwhelming success.

NEW LANGUAGE, NEW EXPERIENCES

Learning a new language, particularly the language of the country you moved to, is extremely important and enriching. For expats and internationals, knowing the local idiom in Greece can make a significant difference in their professional lives. Navigating bureaucracy, communicating and bonding with coworkers, reading and understanding legal documentation, and progressing professionally are good reasons to learn Greek.

This is not just a work-related topic. Greek becomes a valuable asset even for those who move to the Hellenic country to study and pursue academic excellence. Many degree programs, especially in public schools, involve some degree of Greek, which knowing can help to open doors and new opportunities, such as scholarships, and improve the quality of life on campus.

You are not a student or a professional, but you fit into the category of a digital nomadwho loves to travel and live life in Greece? Speaking the language can change your experience for the better. Chatting to locals, being independent when it comes to directions, and understanding deeply the culture and the humor of people is possible when knowing Greek.

THE PERFECT RESOURCE FOR YOUR GREEK

E-learning has rapidly become the go-to method for gaining new skills, offering flexibility, accessibility, and convenience. Recognizing this shift, Alexandros embraced short-form content by sharing daily videos, like reels and TikToks, to make Greek language learning both easy and enjoyable. His approach blends education with entertainment, allowing students to learn at their own pace, anytime and anywhere. In addition to daily content, he also created a series of in-depth MasterCourses. With a focus on accessibility and interactivity, Alexandros is redefining what it means to learn a language in the digital age, making Greek not just approachable but unforgettable.
