This October, the Maria Callas Museum of the City of Athens welcomes visitors of every age with a vibrant programme of activities:

  - A music-and-dance performance for children
  - An open conversation on mental health in the digital era
  - Themed and interactive guided tours that bring Maria Callas’ legacy to life
  - Family programmes (MCM Kids & MCM Babies) that turn Sundays into pure imagination and play!

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
 
Saturday 4 October | “Sound Spins Around” — Music & Movement Performance for Kids (Ages 2–6)

The creative team 2 Laloun brings their playful performance “Sound Spins Around” to the museum!

Children will discover how musical instruments came to be, and then get to play with them! Through games, movement and storytelling, little ones become the heroes of their own musical adventure.

Tuesday 14 October | Talk — “The Adventures of Our Psyche in the Digital Metaverse”

To mark World Mental Health Day, the museum hosts an open discussion with psychologist/author Fotini Tsalikoglouand psychiatrist/psychoanalyst Dr. Savvas Savvopoulos, moderated by journalist Giannis Pantazopoulos.

This is the museum’s second collaboration with the speakers, continuing a meaningful dialogue around mental health and launching a new series of talks for 2025–2026 exploring psychology within modern culture.

Opera Becomes Play!

A hands-on journey into the world of opera! Children explore iconic scenes from NormaTosca and La Traviata, play with rhythm and movement, experiment with Orff instruments and even compose their own mini music piece — no musical experience needed!

How does a baby experience a museum? Through touch, sound and colour!
Parents and babies embark on a gentle sensory walk through the exhibits, exploring soft textures, music and visual impressions in a safe and welcoming space designed for connection and discovery.
