Otro Mundo Gathering is back for another year! A unique electronic music festival during the Holy Spirit long weekend – June 6, 7 & 8, 2025 – just outside Athens, right by the sea, with a sandy beach and crystal-clear waters.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the appearance of Mira (@mira_kater), one of the most influential artists in Berlin’s underground scene! Mira performs across the globe – from Berlin’s legendary clubs to the desert of Burning Man – and through her “Mira Invites” events in cities like New York, Lisbon, London, Mexico City, and Los Cabos.

The sunsets were the backdrop for deep connection, as friends would gather around bonfires, chant, dance, and play music in tribute to Pacha Mama.

As time passed, this “tribe” grew, and with it, the vision for Otro Mundo. The Los Angeles Chargers proudly announce the NFL has awarded the team with international marketing rights to Greece, marking the first time the sport is introduced in an organized and strategic manner to the Greek market. As part of the NFL’s Global Markets Program, this milestone represents a bold step in expanding the game’s global reach—bringing the excitement and tradition of American football to a nation renowned as the birthplace of the Olympic Games and for its deep athletic heritage.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Chargers hosted an exclusive press conference on Friday, April 25, at the iconic Hotel Grande Bretagne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Athens. The event welcomed prominent members of the Greek media and distinguished representatives from the Chargers organization, including Mr. Fred Maas, Chief of Staff and Counselor for the Los Angeles Chargers. THEATRE OF THE NO, Athens' premier English-speaking theater, is proud to present the Barakos Orchestra in a special musical performance dedicated to the legendary Giorgos Barakos.

 On Saturday 3nd May at 22:30, this twelve-member ensemble will showcase original compositions in a celebration of Barakos' monumental contribution to the Greek jazz scene.

In the spring of 2024, twelve friends and colleagues, bound by their mutual love for music and deep respect for Giorgos Barakos, came together with a shared goal: to honor the man who revolutionized Greek jazz. Barakos opened the first jazz club in Greece, nestled in the heart of the historic Anafiotika neighborhood in Plaka, beneath the Acropolis rock, and near the Agios Nikolaos Ragkavas church. His legacy, defined by his dedication to the art and culture of jazz, continues to resonate today.

The Barakos Orchestra is not a group designed to simply impress, but one that embodies the true spirit of music as an act of participation, collective memory, and shared expression. This performance serves as a heartfelt tribute to the visionary who helped shape the landscape of Greek jazz and jazz culture in general.

An Official Tango Competition will take place in Athens from May 22 to 25, as part of the prestigious International Tango Acropolis 2025 festival.

The F45 Barrio Salamanca HYROX powered by KORRES will make its debut this year, introducing a cutting-edge hybrid race that combines running with high-intensity functional exercises. At the same time, the exceptional Ifigenia Baka, pilates instructor and owner of Breath Pilates Studio, will lead two unique sessions: a full-body workout for all ages through Pilates High Intensity Interval Training, and a Stretch and Strength class designed to enhance flexibility and mobility.

Participants will have the opportunity to compete in one of the top Half Marathons in Greece, the Navarino Challenge Half Marathon powered by The North Face, alongside Greek-American ultramarathon runner Dean Karnazes. One of the most prestigious international beach volleyball competitions in the world, Nations Cup, is coming for the first time to TUI Magic Life Candia Maris of Metaxa Hospitality Group, in Crete, on May 16-18, 2025.

The top sporting event is held under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and the corresponding Hellenic Volleyball Federation with the co-organization of the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Malevizi, and Metaxa Hospitality Group, in order to promote Crete as a global sporting and tourist destination.

Nations Cup particularly promotes team spirit, as athletes do not compete as individual pairs, as is usually the case in traditional tournaments, but represent their national teams. Each country participates with two pairs, which compete in an innovative system of competition where collective effort and strategy determine the winner.

This year, athletes from six countries will participate in the top sporting event that promotes the development of the sport. In the men's category, the national teams of the Netherlands, Hungary, Luxembourg, and Greece will compete, while in the women's category, the teams of Poland, Estonia, and Greece will be represented. The event enhances competitiveness at a global level and showcases the talent of athletes who transcend borders, bringing the public closer to powerful sporting moments.
