The Athens Singers invite you to our performance of Luigi Cherubini’s Requiem in C minor.
Composed in 1816 to commemorate the execution of King Louis XVI of France, this wildly successful work was praised by Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms. The performance will include solos for french horn.
St. Paul’s Anglican Church, where the concert will take place, is conveniently located in the center of Athens near the Syntagma metro station and offers the rich acoustics that go well with this type of beautiful religious piece.
