Opening Weekend At Ο Ελληνικός Πολυχώρος: Visual Arts Exhibition & So Many More!
A New Creative Hub Comes to Psirri!

A brand-new creative hub is opening its doors in the heart of Athens, inviting the community to celebrate a weekend filled with movement, creativity, wellbeing, food, comedy, art and connection.

Ο Ελληνικός Πολυχώρος officially launches with an exciting two-day programme designed for all ages, bringing together local creatives, educators, artists and wellness practitioners under one roof. Whether you're looking to start your morning with yoga, discover a new hobby, enjoy an art exhibition or spend quality time with your family, there's something for everyone.

Saturday, 25 July

The opening weekend begins at 9:00 AM with Hatha Yoga with Matcha, led by Rozalia Galatou, alongside 2 creative activities for children: Junior Art Club (ages 5–8) with Mandy Espinosa and Junior Baking Club (ages 9–12) with Tom from The Greek Kitchen Athens.

At 10:00 AM, the programme continues with Tai Chi: Introduction to Sun Style led by Autumn Hayes, while younger visitors can enjoy another round of Junior Art Club (ages 9–12) and Junior Baking Club (ages 5–8).

At 6:00 PM, aspiring comedians are invited to join a Stand-Up Comedy Writing Taster Class with Pam Benjamin before the official opening celebrations begin.

From 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM, everyone is invited to the Opening Exhibition of The In-Between, a new photography exhibition marking the launch of Ο Ελληνικός Πολυχώρος.

The evening includes free entry, drinks, bites, the opportunity to meet the artists and creative community, and—adding an extra festive touch—a bright blue birthday cake as the founder celebrates turning 48 during the opening night.

The exhibition will remain on display until 25 September, giving visitors plenty of time to experience the collection after the opening weekend.

Sunday, 26 July

The celebrations continue on Sunday, once again beginning at 9:00 AM with Hatha Yoga with Matcha, followed by Junior Art Club (ages 5–8) and Junior Baking Club (ages 9–12).

At 10:00 AM, visitors can take part in another Tai Chi session or enjoy the second round of children's art and baking workshops for ages 9–12 and 5–8 respectively.

The afternoon continues with Junior Improv by Lena's Improv Place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, while adults can join the fun later in the day during Adult Improv, taking place from 7:00 PM until 8:15 PM.

The opening weekend concludes at 8:30 PM with a calming Sound Healing with Matcha session led by Rozalia Galatou, offering the perfect opportunity to unwind and reflect after two inspiring days of creativity, wellbeing and community.

Fun For The Whole Family

Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the weekend, with art, baking and improv workshops designed especially for children.

A particular highlight is the Junior Baking Club, led by Tom from The Greek Kitchen Athens. Inspired by Greece's rich culinary heritage and the Mediterranean diet, these fun, hands-on classes introduce young chefs to delicious Greek recipes using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Suitable for all skill levels and held in fully air-conditioned classrooms, they're the perfect way for children to learn, create and have fun while parents enjoy the rest of the festival programme.

A New Community Space In Athens

More than simply a venue, Ο Ελληνικός Πολυχώρος aims to become a vibrant meeting place where creativity, wellbeing, culture and learning come together. From regular yoga classes and family workshops to exhibitions, performances and community events, this opening weekend offers a first glimpse into everything the space has planned for the months ahead.

Whether you're an Athens local, an expat or simply visiting the city, this is a wonderful opportunity to discover a new cultural destination while connecting with like-minded people in one of Athens' most vibrant neighbourhoods. We look forward to welcoming you for a weekend of inspiration, creativity and celebration in Psirri.
