The Theatre of the NO continues its strong support for young and emerging musical talents with the 3rd Open Mic Challenge / New Talents Music Nights. This event offers a unique opportunity for artists to perform original material in sets of up to 45 minutes, while the audience participates actively in a live voting process.
The Open Mic Challenge is an open platform for artistic expression, aiming to highlight new musical voices and foster an active, interactive music community.
Performing on Thursday, March 19 at 21:00:
The Unsound Mind – An electro-acoustic trio from Athens, creating cinematic and experimental sounds with an immersive live performance.
Thanasis Petheriotis – Musician, actor, and singer with a focus on Greek rock. He recently released his first solo album, “Auton ton Dromo Xero”.
Dimosthenis Helmis & Georgia Marouli – Composer and singer presenting original compositions with unique interpretations.
Audience Participation & Competition:
The audience plays an active role through live voting, selecting their favorite performer. This interactive process strengthens the connection between artists and listeners, highlighting the power of live music experiences.
Awards & Benefits:
Each month, a winner is announced, and by the end of the season, up to four overall winners will be selected to enjoy:
- A paid live performance in June at Theatre of the NO
- Free use of rehearsal space
- Promotion on Theatre of the NO social media and partner platforms
Participation in the competition is not financially compensated, but offers significant benefits in terms of exposure, experience, and networking, serving as an essential step in the artists’ professional development.
