Athens Singers Christmas Concert 2019

Continuing with our tradition, The Athens Singers present a concert of Christmas music. We will perform selected parts of the Baroque composition 'The Christmas Story' by Heinrich Schütz. Written in the mid-1600s, the piece combines narrative solo music with choral singing filled with lovely, ear-pleasing harmonies.
The second part of the concert will consist of Christmas Carol favorites, in both English and Greek. The audience will be encouraged to sing along with the choir. The concert will be held at one of our favorite venues, The War Museum Amphitheatre, which has excellent acoustics and is centrally located, a few steps from the Evangelismos Metro Station. A reception will follow the performance.
