Steve Kaplan, HBO’s permanent collaborator and consultant to companies such as Dreamworks, Disney, Paramount, Touchstone, is “getting serious” and talks about comedy with award-winning screenwriter Andrew Horton.

One of Hollywood’s most sought-after consultants and script doctors, he is also the co-founder and artistic director of Manhattan’s legendary  Punch Line Theatre, where he worked with screenwriters of award-winning films and sitcoms (Analyze This, Friends, Ugly Betty, Will & Grace, Sex and The City, Big Love). 

Steve Kaplan has written the book “The Hidden Tools of Comedy” (Michael Wise Productions, 2013) and taught many seminars about the art of laughter and comedy at universities, such as UCLA, NYU, Yale, etc. and elsewhere.

Andrew Horton is an award-winning screenwriter and author of more than 30 books on cinema, script, and cultural studies. He is a former Professor of Cinema and Media at the University of Oklahoma where he taught for 18 years, he teaches script-writing seminars in many European countries and the United States and has lived in Greece for many years.
