Based on more than 45,000 private villas and thousands of verified guest reviews across 30 of Europe's most popular holiday destinations, Holidu's research reveals that the five highest-rated villa destinations in Europe are all Greek islands.

Leading the rankings is Naxos, with an impressive guest rating of 9.5/10, followed closely by:

• Crete – 9.4/10

• Zakynthos – 9.4/10

• Kefalonia – 9.4/10

• Paros – 9.4/10

These destinations consistently earn outstanding reviews from travellers who value authentic hospitality, breathtaking landscapes, privacy, and memorable stays.

While Greece may not offer the lowest villa prices in Europe, the study suggests visitors are more than happy to pay for the experience.

For example, villas in Naxos have a median nightly price of around £406, while Paros averages £466 per night. Yet despite these higher prices, both islands outperform every other European destination when it comes to guest satisfaction.

The rankings compare guest satisfaction relative to accommodation cost, using verified reviews and listings collected in July 2026. Only destinations with at least 100 villas and 1,000 verified guest reviews were included.
