The free provision of Canva to all students in Greece was announced by Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharakis, during a presentation of the platform at the Panathenea Festival 2026.
The initiative will provide students across all educational levels—from Primary School through High School—with free access to one of the world's most widely used digital design and presentation platforms. The move is aimed at strengthening digital literacy, creativity, and modern learning skills both inside and outside the classroom.
Canva offers a broad range of tools that enable students to create presentations, videos, visual projects, collaborative assignments, and other educational content. By making the platform available nationwide, the Ministry seeks to further integrate digital technologies into the educational experience and support students in developing essential skills for the future.
The announcement was made as part of the Panathenea Festival 2026, where the role of technology and innovation in education was highlighted as a key pillar of Greece's digital transformation efforts.
With free access to Canva, students will have additional opportunities to express their creativity, collaborate more effectively, and engage with learning through modern digital tools.
