Go Ice Skating

Ice skating has become a popular activity during winter in Athens, and ice rinks can be found in various spots around the city! Here are some of our favorites:

Athens Heart
The largest permanent ice rink in the country is located next to Athens Heart Shopping Mall and has a surface of more than 1,000 square meters which is close to international standards! The ice rink is covered by a specially designed tent, making it possible to skate in all weather conditions.

SNFCC Ice Rink
The SNFCC ice rink is the ideal place to enjoy ice skating in a beautiful set-up, right in front of the decorated Agora. The ice rink is open daily from December 1 to February 27 – admission is free with a maximum stay of 40 minutes.

Ice Rink at Megaron Concert Hall
This holiday season, the Megaron Concert Hall will host one of the loveliest ice rinks in Athens. Located in the Atrium area, the 375 square meter ice rink will be welcoming guests from December 9 to February 4, 2019. Visiting this rink is a great opportunity to combine ice skating with one of the festive performances held at the concert hall this holiday season.

Spend A Fun Sunday With The Kids

Spend a fun Sunday with your children at the Hard Rock Cafe in Athens. Every Sunday, until December 30, take your little Roxtars to Hard Rock Cafe for a rockin’ afternoon where they will be able to enjoy handicrafts, face painting and other creative activities. Furthermore, you’ll be able to enjoy yummy kids menus, delicious coctails, and the famous succulent Hard Rock Cafe burgers.

Take A Road Trip

If our list of activities hasn’t persuaded you to spend the holidays in Athens, pack up your warm winter clothes and embark on a road trip full of exploration, adventure, and rural Christmas traditions. Two of our favorite destinations for a festive escape are Arachova and Delphi. Arachova is renowned for its beautiful mountain landscapes, delicious food, and traditional character while Delphi is world famous for its archaeological site and museum. Allow yourself to relax and unwind by planning a unique road trip through Central Greece’s winter wonderlands!
