The 'Marble Village' is well known for its magnificent views, hiking trails, the hospitality, the great locally produced food and the plethora of great tavernas and cafés, open until late in the summer months. Some of the best beaches in the Cyclades are just a 15-minute drive down the spectacular mountain to the serene Moutsouna Bay and up the East Coast. The beaches here are wild, clean and numerous. Everyone who has stayed in the house says it has a nice feeling about it and the heating and recently installed wood-burner make it a very cosy escape for the winter months as well. The foundations apparently date back to the 17th century and the walls are constructed of marble and are 60 cm deep.
