The 8th Athens Djangofest Athens Gypsy Jazz Festival returns to Technopolis City of Athens on 16th & 17th of September!
The established gypsy jazz festival returns to the center of Athens along with the Meet Market for a two-day event dedicated to the legendary Django Reinhardt, his music that dominated Europe in the 1930s and 1940s and gypsy jazz arts & dance in general.
Djangofest Athens is something more than a concert; one of the biggest festivals in Athens, with many concurrent activities for everyone, all with free admission!
The Djangofest Gypsy Jazz festival in Greece is an initiative of musicians who are involved with gypsy jazz music and their friends. As a self-organized event, it takes place with the actions of the musicians and volunteers involved, and with the support of Plenty Projects.
In this year's edition, except for the live show with bands from allover Greece and abroad, marks the partnership with the The Meet Market
that confirms its festive character, featuring open dance and music workshops, lindy hop dance shows, luthiers’ jazz instruments exhibition and activities for children!
