Act Attack Athens

Act Attack is an English speaking acting & improv group based in Amsterdam, now also in Athens!

Our mission is to help people express themselves and interact with each other while having fun. As life imitates art, creative work can inspire and initiate a lot of real-life events. For that reason, acting is a perfect way to boost your creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

Act Attack welcomes people from every level and background! They approach every course as a means of personal development, focusing on giving a special experience to anyone willing to grow through theater. The Act Attack team consists of people from around the world with a common passion for theatre.

Act Attack offers courses both for beginners and people with more experience. Their acting, improv, and physical theatre courses (with a duration of 6-8 weeks) include stage acting exercises and improvisation games, blended together in preparation for the end-of-term graduation performances. They also offer courses that don't include a performance, as well as tailor-made business workshops for team-building purposes.

Courses starting from January, March, May & September

Acting

These courses for beginners combine theatre acting and the basics of improvisation. With theatre games, acting and improv techniques, ensemble collaboration, and scene study, you will develop the way you express yourself physically in many different situations & roles. Moreover, you will boost your confidence, communication, and public speaking skills. With the help of Act Attack, you can be an acting hero!

Improv

In these courses for beginners, you will learn the basic techniques of improv, including the core components of listening, agreement, and ”Yes, And”. You will develop an accepting, error-free attitude and learn to react to unforeseen situations in a spontaneous and flexible manner. Also, you will learn how to discover characters, stories, and relationships, all on the spot. Get ready for fun, while developing your listening and communication skills!

All acting courses start in January, May, and October. Each course lasts 6-8 weeks and takes place once a week, during evening hours, depending on the course of your choice. Although each course lasts for two months, Act Attack highly encourages participating for a longer period of time, in order to give yourself enough time to grow and learn together with your fellow co-actors.
