Mandra Dog Shelter

Mandra Dog Shelter is a self funded shelter on the outskirts of Athens. As with many charities in Greece, this is the work and effort of an individual with minimal support, financially or legally, and encountering and overcoming many obstacles. The tales of dogs being left tied to trees in the mountains to die, shot and paralyzed, hit and dumped on the side of the road, or being collected with the garbage, are horrendous and should not be tolerated in todays society.

Unfortunately these things are not unusual in Greece. In light of this, I would like to ask the expat population of Greece, or people who may be in interested in volunteering to support this lady and her work, with food, drugs and volunteering.
