I’m a psychology graduate and postgraduate, specializing in children’s mental health, but my university program also included extensive language lessons. I am highly proficient in both Greek and Ancient Greek, with a full understanding of the language.

The Athens Singers and orchestra reprise a very well-received performance of Misa a Buenos Aires, by Martín Palmeri.

Mr. Palmeri has created this tango mass by using both his experience as a choir director and his work arranging Argentinian tango music. Starting with the form of a classical Roman Catholic mass, including lyrics in Latin, he adds the rhythms and attributes of tango. The end result is a piece that is both spiritual and exciting. Don't be surprised if you find your foot tapping to the rhythm!

The concert will be held on Friday, 23rd of May at 8:30PM at The War Museum Amphitheatre, conveniently located across from the Evangelismos Metro station.

This May, the Maria Callas Museum of the City of Athens presents a rich and diverse program of cultural events and activities that bring audiences closer to the art of music and voice. Otro Mundo Gathering is back for another year! A unique electronic music festival during the Holy Spirit long weekend – June 6, 7 & 8, 2025 – just outside Athens, right by the sea, with a sandy beach and crystal-clear waters.

The music explores various shades of the electronic spectrum, including World Electronica, Downtempo, House, Techno, and Minimal Tech.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the appearance of Mira (@mira_kater), one of the most influential artists in Berlin’s underground scene! Mira performs across the globe – from Berlin’s legendary clubs to the desert of Burning Man – and through her “Mira Invites” events in cities like New York, Lisbon, London, Mexico City, and Los Cabos.

Otro Mundo has its roots in humble beginnings. What started in 2018 as small beach gatherings among close friends on the Greek Islands quickly evolved into a full-fledged festival. These informal gatherings were where musicians, spiritual seekers, and artists would come together to celebrate life, nature, and music. The sunsets were the backdrop for deep connection, as friends would gather around bonfires, chant, dance, and play music in tribute to Pacha Mama.

As time passed, this “tribe” grew, and with it, the vision for Otro Mundo. The Los Angeles Chargers proudly announce the NFL has awarded the team with international marketing rights to Greece, marking the first time the sport is introduced in an organized and strategic manner to the Greek market. As part of the NFL’s Global Markets Program, this milestone represents a bold step in expanding the game’s global reach—bringing the excitement and tradition of American football to a nation renowned as the birthplace of the Olympic Games and for its deep athletic heritage.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Chargers hosted an exclusive press conference on Friday, April 25, at the iconic Hotel Grande Bretagne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Athens. The event welcomed prominent members of the Greek media and distinguished representatives from the Chargers organization, including Mr. Fred Maas, Chief of Staff and Counselor for the Los Angeles Chargers. During his stay in Athens, Mr. Maas also met with several key government officials, including ministers and deputy ministers and sports facilities to discuss the potential of American football in Greece and the broader impact of the sport on local communities.

This initiative holds special meaning for the organization, as Greece is also the ancestral homeland of Dean Spanos, Controlling Owner and Chairman of the Board for the Los Angeles Chargers. His family roots add a personal dimension to this launch, making the expansion to Greece not only strategic, but deeply symbolic.

On the occasion of his visit to Greece, Mr. Fred Maas stated: “It’s an honor to be here in Greece. This is really a special time and place for us. Ever since I met our Owner Dean Spanos, it’s always been a dream of his to bring the NFL and the Chargers to Greece. This year, it was made possible through the expansion of the NFL’s Global Markets Program. This is truly an opportunity for the Spanos Family to come to Greece and expose the game they love to the country they love.”
