Full Moon Multirama Aquathlon

Unique Distance Challenge = 750m Swim – 6km Run

The event will start around 8:45pm when the sun is down and the full moon starts raising on the sea.

The event is open do adults of 18 y-old or more.

Start at 8h45pm:
• the athletes go in the water for a mass start and perform 2 loops around buoys marked by phosphorescent markers, total of 750m
• after the 2 swim loops, the athletes run 6km on the sandy beach (barefoot or with shoes) to the end of the Bay (3km) and back (there is a water station at the 3rd Km).

The first athlete is expected to finish after 9h20pm.
Once all athletes have returned, an AWARD ceremony will be help, with Trophies for: Top 3 Men, Top 3 Women, Best swimmer, Best Runner.

All finishers receive a medal and a memorabilia towel as well as access to the post-race full-moon barbecue with music, refreshments, beers, sausages and light snacks.

Athletes’ Race Package:

Athletes must come and collect their race-package on the same day 27th of July between 06:30pm and 08:00pm:

1- Run Number
2- Swim Cap
3- Phosphorescent bracelets (2)

Assistance:

We need to find a minimum of 5 volunteers to help with: time-keeping, water-station attendance and barbecue cooking! Please spread the word! If you find some volunteers, please get in touch at info@schiniathlon.gr. Volunteers have full access to the post race BBQ and also get special “Marshal” T-Shirt.

Registration:

All registrations must be done on-line on the Schiniathlon website. Registrations open on Tuesday 30th of June 2010 and close on Thursday 22nd of July 2010.

No registration will be accepted after 22nd of July.

Participation Limit:

Schiniathlon will accept a maximum of 160 athletes at the event.

Participation Fee:

Entry to the event is subject to a 20 Euro Fee. Schiniathlon Team members wil pay 17euros (prices include VAT 23%)

Payment must be performed within the 3 days following the registration. Otherwise your registration might be declared invalid.

Categories:

A trophy will be awarded to the Top 3 men, Top 3 Women, Best Swimmer and Best Runner.
