The “English Theatre Club” Perform this Sunday |

You all know the story of the Princess and the Pea. Well, you thought you did. The English Theatre Club has once again turned myth on its head. Prince Harry is not the charming boy from the palace. And the Queen, Prince Harry’s mother, is not everyone’s idea of Royalty. The Princess-to-be is not a disinherited princess, but a humble chambermaid, who turns out not to be all that humble. As for the rest of the cast, the less said the better. How they got beyond the palace gates is a mystery.
Tessa Clark’s latest play for children is a rip-roaring success. Children of all ages will love it, with ample opportunity to cheer and jeer and add to the chaos. Some will even have the chance to try out for the part of the unlucky princess who will have the misfortune to marry Horrible Harry. As usual, the English Theatre Club’s latest production is a carnival of song, dance and rollicking comedy. Beware though. In this version of the play, peas and princesses take on a whole new meaning.
