Milos Estiatorio restaurant at the Hilton hotel

Milos Estiatorio restaurant at the Hilton hotel
Spiliadis does not fool around when in search for new Greek tastes. Last year we enjoyed the lightly smoked salmon from Komotini while this year he amazed us with a buffalo kavourma. And while the best fish in the Greek market are most intriguing, the wonderful Swedish and American meat served are of unique taste. The most famous Greek restaurant on this planet is a valuable library of emblematic material and tastes from all over Greece.Twenty some years after it first opened in Montreal and almost a decade after opening in New York City, Milos came full circle and returned home to Athens, Greece in January 2004. Athenians were able to finally discover what New Yorkers and Montrealers have been raving about all these years. The buzz now crossed the Atlantic and here in Athens, Milos has become the talk of the town.

The philosophy remains untouched: simple food made from unique and top quality ingredients, only this time much closer to the source. Suppliers come from all parts of the Mediterranean; there are no borders when it comes to finding the best the world has to offer. Fresh greens (horta) and vegetables are collected by local farmers in Crete and Kythira and sent to Milos almost daily, along with cheeses from Santorini and Tinos as well as fresh bread from a traditional bakery in Loutraki. And of course, our exceptional extra virgin olive oil, sold at our three locations; Montreal, New York and Athens, as well as fine food stores in Canada and the U.S. under the brand name “My Sister’s Olive Oil”.The Athens menu is similar to the other two, offering Mediterranean delicacies, treasures from the land and sea as well as some North American favourites like Milos’ famous crabcakes, soft shell crabs, oysters and even Nova Scotia live lobsters flown in especially for us.

The space is just as impressive as the menu. High ceilings and marble floors set the stage for the minimally decorated main dining room. A chef’s table within the open kitchen serves as a perfect setting for intimate group dinners. Larger parties of up to 50 guests can be accommodated in the stunning private room. The outdoor garden overlooking the pool with a view of the little church of Agios Isidoros on the Lycabettus hill is a popular destination for Athenians during the summer months.

Milos prides itself in achieving and maintaining a level of quality no matter where you are: in Athens, New York or Montreal. If all three restaurants have one thing in common, it’s our commitment to serving our customers Mediterranean cuisine at its best. Visit Milos for an unforgettable dining experience.
