Misia at Megaron, Athens Concert Hall

Misia at Megaron, Athens Concert Hall
Misia, one of the best-known performers of fado contemporary Portuguese music, will be appearing at the "Megaron" Athens Concert Hall for a night of poetic melancholy and absolute theatricality on 8 March in Athens, Greece. Misia will be presenting her new show "Ruas (Roads)," based on her new CD, singing with nostalgia and taking us to the dream of her homeland, Lisbon. These are the roads of life, roads of the heart, the roads of saudade; of love and absence. The roads of all roads; those of the unpredictable fado. We all follow roads until we reach the final turn. In all of the places we pass through, the people we meet and later part from, all these Roads of Cities throughout the world where the sensitive and tireless people walk, we are "trying to live our lives and spread jam on our hearts."

The show will include "Lisboarium," a dream-like and imaginary journey through the roads of Lisbon, its neighbourhoods and its music, not only fado but also marchas de Lisboa and Morna.

It will also feature "Tourists," which, as Misia explains, is for artists from various roads of the world, from other cultures, but those who have fado in their soul. Some of them will surely have sung fado if they were born in Portugal.

Misia, one of the best-known fado singers of the contemporary Portuguese music, will be at the "Megaron", Athens Concert Hall 8 March.
