Bulgarian Arrested in Glyfada for Forcing Crippled to Beg
The Bulgarian arrested in Greece forced 6 other people to beg, and collected their money. A 50-year-old Bulgarian has been arrested in the Glyfada quarter of the Greek capital Athens for human trafficking.
Photo by BGNES. The man forced six other Bulgarian citizens, who are crippled, including a 12-year-old boy, to beg in the streets of Athens, and kept most of the money the beggars made. All seven of them - the six beggars and their boss - have been detained and brought before a prosecutor, the Greek agency ANA-MPA reported as cited by BNR.
The man who ran the group usually distributed the beggars to their "work places" by a car, in which the Greek police found several artificial limbs that he kept during the day and gave back to the beggars at the end of their "shifts".
