Aris are invited to the Euroleague

ULEB then decided to offer a wild-card entry to ris who had narrowly missed out to Maroussi for Greece's third spot in the competition, behind Panathinaikos and Olympiakos.

As a result Aris will take part along with Maroussi in the draw for the first qualifying round that will take place on July 8.

They will be two out of the eight teams to fight for the two spots remaining open in the group stage to start in autumn.

Panathinaikos and Olympiakos are among the 22 clubs that have already booked their place in the group stage.

On Tuesday Aris issued a statement thanking the head of FIBA Europe, Giorgos Vassilakopoulos and the president of the Greek league organizer ESAKE, Vassilis Economidis, for contributing in the invitation for Aris.
