Athina Municipal Radio's foreign-language station Athens International Radio 104.4 FM speaks to expats... in their language. Multicultural Athens tunes into 104.4 FM. Athens International Radio, the foreign-language station of Athina Municipal Radio 9.84 FM, broadcasts 24 hours a day.

It has opened a channel of communication, informing and entertaining migrant residents, migrant communities and visitors to the city in their native tongue. AIR 104.4 broadcasts news daily in English, French and German through its exclusive collaboration with the BBC, French radio RFI and German radio Deutsche Welle. From Monday to Friday it broadcasts news programmes in six languages in two zones (11:00-12:00 & 20:00-21:30), chiefly Albanian and Russian, whose speakers represent two of largest migrant communities in our city. Programmes aimed at children and women are aired in Albanian and Russian on Saturday and Sunday.

News programmes are aired Monday to Friday, 14:30-15:00, in German, Spanish, Arabic and Italian.

Alexia Amvrazi hosts the lifestyle show "athens4real" each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 to 11:00, which informs on "good living", featuring live interviews with personalities from Greece and abroad and specials focusing on men's and women's interests in Athens. The programme "Athens Blue", which airs on Saturday and Sunday from 13:00 to 15:00, presents music geared to youth, links with top international DJs and political, cultural and sports news from Greece and abroad. BBC sports programmes, the music show "Top of the Pops" and the US Top 40 are broadcast on the weekend.

The morning show (9:00-11:00) presents general news on matters of interest to visitors to Greece such as political and sports briefs, traffic, weather, news from the City of Athens in cooperation with the municipality's International Press Office, guidance for parents on their children's education, globally-syndicated medical advice from US experts and daily historical references drawn from the BBC's exceptional archives.

Finally, every Saturday and Sunday, from 08:00 to 09:00, the station airs easy listening music, news reports and Hollywood updates.

Thanks to its exclusive cooperation with the BBC, AIR 104.4 broadcasts major sporting, cultural and political events such as the French elections, the FA Cup Final, the Champions League Final and the Live Earth concert (July 7, 2007).
