This is how Marcus Binney has described the rooftop gallery of the New Acropolis Museum, which will house the Parthenon marbles, in his article entitled "Athens welcomes the ghost of Phidias.
He describes how the gallery enjoys an exceptional view of Athens, which is interrupted only disturbed by the Acropolis itself. The journalist gives a detailed description of the architecture of the new Acropolis Museum, and observes that the outside of the building does not prepare the visitor for its incredible interior. Amongst other things, the journalist draws attention to the specially-designed gallery which will house the Parthenon Marbles, so that they will correspond to their true dimensions and positions in the monument itself. He also observes that the statues will be situated at visitors' eye-height, exactly as they were in the Parthenon. However, he notes, the greatest test for the gallery will be guided tours, by which he is referring to the specific provision, made by the museum's architect Bernard Tschumi, for noise to be absorbed.
