The Next AAIA Guided Tour.. |
The New Acropolis Museum authorities have kindly granted us permission to conduct a tour of the recently opened temporary exhibition Nostoi. This is truly a “blockbuster” show, which incorporates many of the masterpieces of ancient art that were illegally taken from Italy and Greece, and subsequently returned thanks to the efforts of the archaeological, diplomatic and judicial authorities of these two countries.
to be conducted by Dr. Stavros Paspalas on SATURDAY 22 November 2008*
The exhibition only runs into December, and it is definitely worth a visit as exceptional items of pottery, sculpture and painting created by the ancient craftsmen of the Mediterranean are on display, and most will shortly return to Italy.
As places are limited please book early so as to secure your place on this tour which promises to offer many insights into some truly remarkable antiquities.
We shall meet at 11 am at the entrance to the New Acropolis Museum on Makriyianni Street, just by the exit of the Acropolis Metro station.
Cost: Members Euros 8.00 Guests Euros 13.00
You may pay on the day but PLEASE CALL the Office of the AAIA on 210 924 3256 to BOOK your seat to avoid disappointment as places are limited.
