Opportunity for children to participate in an exciting study

Opportunity for children to participate in an exciting study
Dr Efrosyni Argyri from the University of Edinburgh is one of the researchers working on the Early Child Bilingualism project focussing on the linguistic development of English-Greek bilingual children. The projectʼs central questions are the following: Does an early start in a second language always guarantee success? How much language input does a child need to acquire a language successfully? Just how early is early enough? Click on the picture for more details.

For this project, they are currently looking for 5-12 year-old children of English-speaking EXPATRIATES that have been in Greece for more than 3 years, they have first been exposed to English and subsequently to Greek and they speak/understand both English and Greek.

Participating will involve the children taking part in various language games in English and Greek during 3 sessions.

They would be more than happy to provide you with more information on the research project. They need to start the data collection soon so it would be greatly appreciated if you responded at your earliest convenience.

Her email address is froso@ling.ed.ac.uk, and her telephone number is 210 56 20 726.
