Greece in 3D

A team of artists from Aegean island of Kos, have created an online guide of Greece through which the visitor can virtually travel to the countrys most popular destinations. Using stunning high resolution images, the platform offers an on-site 360 degree view of major attractions, giving the visitor the opportunity to explore the beauty spots of many sites.

Greece looks good, even in virtual 3D. The web portal www.greecevirtual.gr informs and guides the user via the aid of images, videos and natural sounds of each area, offering an audiovisual taste of the place presented. In addition, brief, useful information answers first questions in Greek and English.

A click on the preferred destination starts a tour of panoramic day and night-time photos one can navigate while a google map shows the route taken by the user. A growing list of destinations includes Athens, Antiparos, Edessa, Ios, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kos, Rhodes, Santorini, Chalkidiki and of course Kos.

The site also hosts a section with detailed information on places to stay, visit and enjoy.

A very useful tool for any prospective tourist that can also be used for daydreaming office hours.
